Medical Examination

Please be advised that, the price of a medical exam varies by panel physician.
Fees:
Up to 70,000 DJF (approx. 395 USD) per application for medical exams, depending on clinic and testing required.
DNA collection: First person – 15,000 DJF (approx. 90 USD)
Each person additional – 10,000 DJF (approx. 60 USD)
Before the issuance of an immigrant visa, every applicant, regardless of age, must undergo a medical examination. The examination will be conducted by a licensed physician as designated by the U.S. Embassy who has been trained in Centers for Disease Control and Prevention disease monitoring protocols.  It is the applicant’s responsibility to cover any examination costs, which are in addition to the visa fees

Hours: Clinic is open 24/7, but ask that immigrant visa medical examinations be scheduled in advance.

Certain types of vaccinations are also required for immigrant visa applicants before they are allowed to travel to the United Sates, which may vary in price depending on market conditions. Applicants are responsible for purchasing any required vaccinations from licensed pharmacists in Djibouti using a prescription from the panel physician.
