U.S. Supports Balbala Youth Community
On May 17, 2021 representatives of the United States joined the community of Balbala for the inauguration of a new library facility that was constructed with funding from the American people. The Ministry of Education, the local school director, and representatives of the U.S. embassy joined the event, which created local jobs and will benefit citizens living in Balbala. The initiative compliments robust bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Djiboutian governments to create educational and employment opportunities for Djibouti’s youth.
