Tourist Passports: First-time and Renewal
All passport services at the U.S. Embassy in Djibouti are by appointment only.
Appointments for U.S. Passports must be booked online.

We will no longer interview applicants for Consular Reports of Birth Abroad in conjunction with their parent’s immigrant visa interview. All Consular Reports of Birth Abroad and U.S. passport applicants will need to schedule their appointments separately online. To schedule an appointment, please click here.
Camp Lemonnier Passport Acceptance
Consular staff visit Camp Lemonnier and are located at CJTF-HOA, Building 102, every Thursday from 0900 to 1000 to accept passport applications and answer questions. For any tourist passport, you must have the exact fee of 145 USD for a DS-11 or 110 USD for a DS-82. Tourist cards are an additional 30 USD. Please bring exact change, no change will be provided.
You will be informed by email when your passport is complete (2 weeks for tourist passports; 2 months for official passports). You can then pick up the passport from CJTF-HOA, Building 102, the Thursday following this e-mail.
Official Passports are not issued to every government employee – they are tied to a specific assignment and must be relinquished at the end of an assignment. For more information regarding Official Passports please email: djiboutiACS@state.gov.
