Visiting Djibouti

Djiboutian immigration law allows visitors to enter the country and remain for 90 days with an eVisa. Those wishing to stay for longer than 90 days must work with Djiboutian immigration authorities to adjust their status. In the event of overstaying the allowable period of admission, travelers may be charged a fine. For details, please visit this website.

As guests in Djibouti, U.S. citizens are subject to Djiboutian law, including immigration law. The U.S. Embassy cannot exempt travelers from overstay fines or waive entry requirements.
